Normality

Place your hand here, right here.

Can you feel it; the pulsing, erratic movements, barely contained and forever trying to escape?

Now, slowly, with the gentleness of a newborn,
press your fingertips forward.

What do you feel?

Perhaps the continuous movements?
Or maybe, beneath it all, the tranquil stirring.

"Stirring of what?"

Normality.

Many ignore it. They don't even stop to think, to wonder.Is that the new "normality"?

I don't think so.

My heartbeat and your breathing is normal. The simplist of things. But here we are, as a human population, making everything around us complicated.

I know you think I'm stupid, thinking of things like this. It probably doesn't make any sense, and I'm sorry.

How can I not notice such simplicity? Such normality?
